Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

(1) Account info: your email address or mobile number (used to sign in and reset your password). (2) Content you create: goals, tasks, time logs, financial records, AI conversations, and other information you actively enter. (3) Sign-in & device info: device identifiers and sign-in times used for login sessions and security. (4) Feedback: the text and screenshots you submit through Feedback, plus the app version, current page, device and OS type, language setting and time that are attached automatically. We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service.

2. How We Use Information

To provide and maintain features; to power AI chat and smart capture; to handle your feedback, including checking error records from around the time you submitted it; to keep your account and the Service secure (e.g., verification codes, sessions); and to improve the Service on a de-identified basis. We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to the above.

3. Storage & Protection

Your data is stored on Alibaba Cloud servers (Shanghai, China / Hong Kong). We protect it with measures such as HTTPS encryption in transit and salted password hashing. We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service; after you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information unless the law requires otherwise. Feedback text, screenshots and our replies are deleted within 180 days after the issue is closed, and no later than one year after submission. If you delete your account, your feedback is deleted with it. Deleted information may remain in database backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten.

4. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. To provide the Service we may use third parties as necessary: Alibaba Cloud (compute, database, object storage, email and SMS delivery) and third-party AI model providers (for AI chat and smart capture, which process the content you enter in those features). We require the third parties that process information on our behalf (Alibaba Cloud and AI model providers) to protect it to a standard no lower than this Policy. In addition, on some Chinese-language article pages, Tencent Marketing Union (Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Co., Ltd.) collects browser and device information directly through its code in order to show ads, and you can turn this off at any time. Tencent processes this information in its own name, not on our behalf; see Section 5.

5. Ads on Article Pages (Tencent Marketing Union)

(1) Where and for whom: We show one ad at the end of some Chinese-language article pages. The ad carries a label marking it as an ad; tapping the label shows who provides it and lets you close that ad or learn more. We do not show ads or load ad code on English pages; on health, finance, parenting, education or other sensitive articles; when we judge that you are outside mainland China; when you are signed in to an account that a family member created for a child and the child later claimed; or after you have turned off article ads below. There are no ads in the app's features. These ads are meant for adults; if you are under 18, please turn off article ads below.

(2) Who processes your information: Ads are provided by Tencent Marketing Union, operated by Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Co., Ltd. (Floor 35, Tencent Building, Kejizhongyi Road, Maling Community, Yuehai Subdistrict, Nanshan District, Shenzhen). Tencent processes this information in its own name for its own advertising business, as an independent personal information processor, not on our behalf. See Tencent Marketing Union's "SDK Personal Information Protection Rules" for how to contact Tencent.

(3) What is collected and how: When an ad is shown, Tencent's code collects the following directly in your browser: browser and device information (such as browser type and version, operating system, screen size, language and time zone), network information (such as IP address), identifiers in cookies and local storage that Tencent writes, and ad impressions and clicks. We do not give Tencent your account, phone number or email, or any of your records, AI conversations or insights. The ad code runs in a separate area isolated from our site and cannot read our pages.

(4) Purposes: selecting and showing ads (including personalized ads based on the information above), measuring impressions and clicks, and detecting fraud.

(5) Personalization: Tencent personalizes ads based on this information. There is no non-personalized option on the web, so the way to refuse personalized ads is to turn off article ads.

(6) Turning ads off: Tap "Turn off article ads" below. It takes effect with one tap and you do not need to sign in. After that, we stop loading Tencent's code in this browser, so Tencent can no longer collect your information through our site, and we clear the data stored for the ad area on our site. Turning ads off does not affect processing carried out before it. Information Tencent has already collected, and cookies Tencent has set under its own domains, are handled under Tencent's rules and we cannot delete them for you; you can clear those cookies in your browser settings or contact Tencent to request deletion. Your choice is stored only in this browser, so you will need to turn ads off again in another browser or on another device, or after you clear browser data.

(7) Reporting an ad: If an ad looks wrong, email support@help.smartlife-assistant.com with the address of the article where you saw it, and we will look into it.

(8) Storage and retention: Tencent states in its rules that personal information collected in China is stored in China; retention is governed by Tencent's rules. We store only your choice in your browser, and we do not upload it to our servers.

(9) Updates: If this section changes materially, we update the date at the top of this Policy.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use necessary local storage and cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as language and theme, and remember whether you turned off article ads. We do not use them for cross-site tracking. On article pages that show ads, Tencent Marketing Union's code writes its own cookies and local storage in your browser to recognize the browser, personalize ads, measure performance and prevent fraud, and Tencent may use these identifiers to recognize your browser across websites. Once you turn off article ads, we no longer load this code. See Section 5.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information, export your data or delete your account, and withdraw consent you previously gave. You can turn off article ads without signing in; see Section 5(6). You can edit or delete the records you created directly in the app; to delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account — once confirmed, the account is permanently deleted after 7 days, and you can sign in and cancel any time before then. For data export, please contact us at the email below — we'll handle it within 15 business days.

8. Minors

The Service is intended primarily for adults. If you are a minor, please use the Service and provide personal information only under the guidance and consent of a guardian. Ads on article pages are meant for adults; if you are under 18, please turn off article ads in Section 5. When you are signed in to an account that a family member created for a child and the child later claimed, article pages show no ads.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post updates on this page; for material changes we will notify you by appropriate means.
